The Holy Scriptures
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God; it is absolutely true, enduring, and unchangeable (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Matthew 24:35).
We believe that Jesus is the risen Lord. He is our Savior, the Son of God who died on the cross for the sins of humanity. Belief in his atoning death brings forgiveness and eternal life.
The Eternal Godhead
We believe in the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The three parts of the Trinity are co-existent, co-eternal, and co-equal - meaning they have existed and will continue to exist together eternally, and they are equal in their divinity, power, and perfection.
Water Baptism and the Lord's Supper
We believe that Water Baptism in the name of God the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit confirms that Jesus is the Lord for those who have been born again (Romans 6:4). Jesus Himself, was baptized and instructed His followers to be baptized.
We believe in observing the Lord’s Supper, or Communion, just as Jesus instructed. Communion is a remembrance and celebration of the new life that is ours because of Jesus’ death on the cross, His resurrection, and His coming return as triumphant King (1 Corinthians 11:24-26).
Baptism with the Holy Spirit
We believe that Holy Spirit Baptism is an experience that follows salvation. Holy Spirit Baptism empowers believers to exalt Jesus, to live lives of holiness, and to be witnesses of God’s saving grace. We believe that those who experience Holy Spirit Baptism today will experience it the same as the early church - speaking in tongues and languages that are not known, declaring prophetic insight, and delivering words of knowledge and wisdom, (Acts 1: 5, 8; 2:4).
Acts 1:5,8 - "For John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit ... you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (KJV)
We believe that Jesus heals people who are sick. He heals our bodies, souls, and spirits by the power of the Holy Spirit. His healing is delivered by physicians, friends, family and the church. We have faith in His healing power. (Mark 16: 17, 18; James 5:14-16).
Matthew 8:17 - "He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses..." (KJV)
The Spirit-Filled Life
We believe that as born-again believers, we are people who pray and allow the Holy Spirit to shape our values and behaviors every day. We seek to exemplify the love, honesty and sincerity of Jesus in our lives (Ephesians 4:30-32).
The Gifts and Fruit of the Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit gives all believers special abilities for ministry(1 Corinthians 12:1-11). As Spirit-filled believers, each of God's spiritual “fruit” - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, self-control - is available to us (Romans 12:6-8; Galatians 5:22-25).
